Sliders To Host National Anthem Tryouts Saturday

On Saturday May 26th, the Springfield Sliders will be hosting their tryouts to find their National Anthem singer for the 2012 season. During the four hour tryouts, 40 people from the surrounding area will be taking turns singing the National Anthem acapella. The tryouts will take place at Robin Roberts Stadium from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
The Springfield Sliders are members of the Prospect League, playing at historic Robin Roberts Stadium. The Sliders are members of the Western Division along with the Danville (IL) Dans, DuBois County (IN) Bombers, Hannibal (MO) Cavemen, Quincy (IL) Gems, and Terre Haute (IN) Rex. Opening Day is May 29.
