BlueSox to Open Fourth Season at Pullman Park Tuesday

Butler, PA - May 25, 2012 - Northwood Reality Services presents the Butler BlueSox' Opening Night at Pullman Park Tuesday, May 29 with game time set for 6:35pm. United States Representative Mike Kelly with throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the season. Opening Night of the BlueSox' season will start the first of a four-game home stretch through Friday.

Butler will host the Chillicothe Paints Tuesday and Wednesday evening, followed by the West Virginia Miners on Thursday and Friday. Tickets are selling quickly for the Butler County Ford Firework Night Friday, which will start a special time of 7:05pm.

Wednesday night's game will be McDonald's Run the Bases for kids 12 and under while Thursday's game will be Bottom Dollar Food Night. All four games will be broadcast on WBUT 1050 AM.

The BlueSox are expected to surpass last year's success and break more records in the 2012 season. In 2011, the team broke attendance records and gained popularity through the radio station.

Butler had three of its pitchers rank in the Prospect League's top six, as well as added five members to the All-Star team.

The Prospect League began in 2009 and has been recognized for its growing strength and talents. Butler will be facing teams from Slippery Rock, Chillicothe, Richmond, and West Virginia.
