Local 'Idol'-Singer Will Perform on Fourth of July

Rising teen-star, singer-songwriter Isaac Cole will play the national anthem and perform a set after the BlueSox' Monday, July 4 game as a prelude to the City of Butler's Independence Day Fireworks Show.

Cole has performed all over the country and recently finished in the Top 51 contestants on the final season of American Idol.

The 16-year-old singer is a native of Emlenton; he began singing in churches when he was four, and has been performing full concerts at churches, festivals, fairs, benefits, and rodeos since age ten. He became a Nashville recording artist at eleven with his debut CD "Country Boy," and was the second youngest person to receive an invite to the historic Wheeling Jamboree. He accompanies himself on the acoustic guitar, and his style is influenced by musicians like Brad Paisley, Josh Turner, Keith Urban, and Garth Brooks.

Cole will open the Independence Day game with the national anthem and pending the game's length, perform before or after the City of Butler's Fireworks display, which is sponsored by XTO, Edgemark, Peoples TWP, and PA American Water Company.

Cole has received numerous prestigious titles, including 201 2 Artist Music Guild's New Artist of the Year, 201 5 ICM Top 5 Nominated Musician of the Year, and 201 6 Wheeling Jamboree Inducted Member. Gates open at 5:30pm, with first pitch against the Chillicothe Paints slated for 7:05pm.
