Slammers to Host Unite: Celebrating the Local Church
July 12, 2018 - Frontier League (FL)
Joliet Slammers News Release
Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy will host Faith Night on Sunday, August 19th at Joliet Route 66 Stadium. This will be the Slammers second Faith Night following last year's sell-out event. The night is presented as Unite: Celebrating the Local Church.
The Slammers have partnered with Enlivened, a local non-profit group, to bring together local churches for a day of worship and celebration. The desire of Enlivened is to bring life to the world by creating art that expresses the passionate, loving heart of Jesus and in doing so, help all people find value, power, and beauty in their own unique voice.
Gates open at 12:05pm to fans with a 1:05pm first pitch. The game against the Traverse City Beach Bums will be followed by testimonials from Trent Clark and Kevin Santiago. Clark is a co-founder of and courage coach at Leading with Courage Academy and also was strength and conditioning coach with Major League Baseball for 12 years. Santiago is the Joliet Slammers assistant coach and played previously with the Joliet JackHammers. Dancing, scripture, live music and worship will also follow the game.
A promotional video of the night can be found at https://vimeo.com/277210142.
