
Slammers Ramping up for Big Fourth of July Celebration

Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy return home to Joliet Route 66 Stadium this Friday, June 29 after their weekday series against the Schaumburg Boomers. Weekend promotions include fireworks, Small Business night with a water bottle giveaway and more.
On Friday night, the Slammers begin their series against the Lake Erie Crushers and are hosting a Small Business Night presented by ProviNet Solutions - a local IT provider headquartered in Tinley Park that offers simple, affordable Managed IT Solutions to proactively keep small businesses running smoothly. The night will feature a water bottle giveaway to the first 1,000 fans on entrance. Post-game, fans can catch the Slammers post-game fireworks show provided by Lumina Pyrotechnics.
On Saturday, June 30, the Slammers present Happy 40th Anniversary Grease. All Dannys and Sandys will receive a free ticket to the game and any fans that dress up for the era will receive a free small soda voucher. Post-game, the Slammers will be featuring the movie Grease on the video board.
Sunday's 1:05pm afternoon game is a Slammers Family Sunday. Kids can run the bases post-game and the Slammers team will be signing autographs after the game.
The Slammers continue at home the week of July 3-5 for their series versus the Normal CornBelters. Three days of promotions will highlight the Slammers big Independence Day celebration.
On Tuesday, July 3, reserved tickets for the game are just $2.00 as part of the Slammers $2 Tuesday promotion and there will be post-game fireworks. Fans can upgrade to an all-inclusive skybox ticket for $45 that includes Italian beef, hot dogs with Chicago style toppings, chips, popcorn, dessert soda and water. No group is necessary to purchase.
Fans can enjoy a left field BBQ picnic on Wednesday, July 4. Tickets are $25 and include BBQ pulled pork, BBQ beef, corn, salad, chips, soda and water. No group is needed to reserve a ticket.
The Slammers will host their big Fourth of July fireworks show following the game.
The Slammers close the series with Military Appreciation Night on Thursday, July 5. Free tickets are available to veterans and active military. Family members receive a $5 ticket for the night. Thursday is also a Thirsty Thursday presented by Bud Light. Bud, Bud Light, and soft beverages are available for $2, and Jim Beam and Ole Smoky moonshine cocktails are $4.
