Minot Skyrockets News Release

Minot, ND - October 23, 2006 - The Minot Skyrockets have signed two more rookies who will attend training camp to compete for roster spots. Pele Pealey from Coastal Carolina and Lewis Fadipe from LaSalle University will be competing with other rookies and veterans for a roster spot on opening night.

The 5th round draft pick for the Skyrockets, Pele Pealey, comes from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. Pealey is a 6'3" guard who led the Big South in scoring with 16.8 points per game. He was named Big South Conference Player of the Year and was First-Team All-Big South player. "Pele will compete at the point guard and the two guard positions. He is fast and strong and is eager to showcase his skills in Minot," said Head Coach Chris Daleo.

Lewis Fadipe is an un-drafted rookie from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a 6'10" forward/center. "Lewis is coming to camp to compete at the four and five positions. I liked what I saw on the game tapes. I think that he is better than his stats indicated," said Coach Daleo.

Players will arrive in Minot in mid-November and training camp will begin November 17, 2006. "In order to have a winning season, you have to have a competitive camp. These two players will not only be competing to win the rookie spot, but competing to beat out veterans as well," commented Coach Daleo.

The Skyrockets will open on the road against the Utah Eagles on December 1, 2006. The first home game will be on December 3, 2006 with tip-off at 4:05 pm against the Indiana Alleycats.
