Minot, ND - December 22, 2006 - The Minot Skyrockets are continuing to make personnel changes with the latest addition to the team being Willie Mitchell, a 6'8" forward from the University of Alabama - Birmingham (UAB).

Mitchell comes in with plenty of collegiate and professional experience. In his junior year at UAB, Mitchell averaged 9.5 ppg and 5 rpg, and in his senior year, he averaged 10 ppg and 4.3 rpg. In 2000, he signed with the Yakama Sun Kings, 4-time CBA Champions. Mitchell has also played overseas in China, Lithuania, Poland, and Argentina. In 2004, he played in the Lithuanian All-Stars game and was named to the Lithuanian All-Imports Team.

"Willie has a lot of professional experience. He's a verteran player who will put up big numbers and can rebound also. I expect him to perform well right away," said Head Coach Chris Daleo.

Dale Miller has been taken off injured reserve and will return to the active roster with the December 26th game in Albany, NY.

The next home game for the Skyrockets will be Tuesday, January 2nd when they take on the Indiana Alley Cats. Tickets are available in advance by calling 839-SLAM or visiting the Skyrockets office in the lower level of the Minot Municipal Auditorium.
