Minot Skyrockets News Release
Minot, ND - January 11, 2008 - The Minot Skyrockets have announced the signing of Chris Reaves, pending league approval. Reaves is a 6'3 guard from Chaminade University. He joins the team in place of the injured Kevin Rice. Reaves previously played in the Romanian Division A where he averaged 12.1 points and led his team to the semi-finals of the play-offs. Reaves was also named to the NCAA2 All-West Region All-America 2nd Team while at Chaminade.
"Every game is important, and it's important to pick up an insurance policy based upon Kevin Rice's injury. It's important to make the correct choice concerning players and hopefully this is the correct one," said Head Coach Chris Daleo.
Reaves will join the team on the road in Atlanta for tonight's game against the Krunk. The team then travels to Oklahoma before returning to Minot. The next home games will be on Wednesday, January 16th and Friday, January 18th against Michael Ray Richardson and the Oklahoma Cavalry. Tickets can be purchased by calling 839-SLAM.
