CBA Joins Forces With NexxNow China

January 11, 2008 - Continental Basketball Association 1 (CBA 1) News Release


ALBANY, NY (Jan 11, 2007) - CBA Properties, LLC today announced that it has signed an agreement with NexxNow China, Inc., a U.S. based media company to exclusively produce CBA games and CBA related TV programming exclusively for distribution to mainland China. NexxNow is a media and marketing company that is focused on delivering sports content to mainland China.

"Our vision of exposing the CBA league and its players internationally has taken an important step with the announcement of this partnership" stated Ricardo A. Richardson, CBA Properties, LLC President & CEO, "NexxNow will incorporate their media marketing expertise to sell the CBA brand in China, and will look to facilitate CBA teams competing in China in the off-season. The appetite for high-level basketball in China has been well documented and the CBA has some of the best basketball players in the world. The CBA, second only to the NBA is regarded internationally as a premier professional basketball league. This is reflected in the fact that the league has sent over 600 players to the N.B.A. over the course of its history. CBA Properties has a vision of licensing the league in Mexico, Canada, and other countries. The CBA was founded in 1946, and is one of the oldest professional leagues in the United States. The CBA is a active member of USA Basketball, and FIBA, the international governing body of basketball. The league has sent over 600 players to the NBA and has a prestigious list of coaches that started their careers in the CBA, including Phil Jackson, LA Lakers, Flip Saunders, Detroit Pistons, and George Karl, Denver Nuggets.
