Skyrockets name dance team coordinator/choreographer

ALBANY, NY (August 9, 2006) -The Minot Skyrockets of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) has named KaDee Simensen of Minot, North Dakota, as the dance team coordinator/choreographer for the coming season. Simensen owns and is the director of BrickStudio in downtown Minot, which offers instruction in adult and youth dance classes.

"We're very pleased to have KaDee join the Minot Skyrockets as our dance team coordinator/choreographer," said Joe Clark, Managing Partner and CEO of Apex Sportstainment, LLC, which owns four CBA franchises, including the Minot Skyrockets. "The dance team is an integral part of our organization and we look forward to seeing them perform at the games, as well as taking an active role in the community."

"The return of professional basketball to Minot is very exciting, and I'm very happy to be a part of the Skyrockets organization as the dance team coordinator/choreographer," stated Simensen. "I look forward to organizing and developing the Skyrockets' dance team that's representative of a quality professional sports organization."

Simensen earned a Bachelor's Degree in Corporate Fitness / Minor in Coaching from Minot State University. An experienced choreographer, she travels annually to San Francisco to choreograph the West Coast Paul Mitchell Show, and also coaches the Minot State University and Minot High School Majettes Varsity Dance Teams. Recognized with the National Association of Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) Major of the Year in 2002, she has also served as the Dance Coordinator for Minot Muskies (NJHL) Performance Team, as well as a choreographer for the Erik Ramstad Chorus Variety Show.

The CBA recently completed its 60th anniversary season on March 27 with the Yakama Sun Kings defeating the Gary Steelheads in a best-of-three-game series. That series featured the CBA's 2006 Player of the Year, Anthony Goldwire (Sun Kings), and the CBA's 2006 Coach of the Year, Jaren Jackson (Steelheads).
