
Minot Skyrockets name former Dakota Wizard as Assistant General Manager

ALBANY, NY (August 9, 2006) - The Minot Skyrockets of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) today hired Kimberly Mueller of Bismarck, ND, as the first Assistant General Manager in franchise history. Mueller was the Director of Marketing and Promotions for the Dakota Wizards of the CBA for the past two seasons. Previous to this position, she was the Assistant Director of Marketing for the Wizards for four seasons.
"Kim Mueller brings us an enormous amount of experience in marketing, promotions, and operations in CBA basketball," stated Joe Clark, Managing Partner and CEO of Apex Sportstainment, LLC, the holding company for four CBA franchises, including the Minot Skyrockets. "We look forward to building a successful franchise in Minot under her guidance and leadership."

Mueller has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. She most recently worked as Program Supervisor for the Prairie Rose State Games in Bismarck. Also, she served as Community Relations Representative for United Blood Services where she scheduled and coordinated blood drives. In sports, she served as Assistant Coach of Varsity Girls' and Boys' Soccer for St. Mary's Central High School in Bismarck for five years.
The CBA recently completed its 60th anniversary season on March 27 with the Yakama Sun Kings defeating the Gary Steelheads in a best-of-three-game series. That series featured the CBA's 2006 Player of the Year, Anthony Goldwire (Sun Kings), and the CBA's 2006 Coach of the Year, Jaren Jackson (Steelheads).
