Minot Skyrockets News Release

Minot, ND - December 13, 2006 - The Minot Skyrockets have signed a new guard, Andre Joseph. Joseph played at Oregon from 2002-2004. He was part of the Pac-10 Tournament Championship team in 2003, averaging 9.3 ppg on the season and was named All-Pac-10 Newcomer of the Year. In 2004, he helped Oregon to the NIT Final Four with 12.6 ppg and 4.5 rebounds per game on the season.

Joseph has also played overseas and has experience with CBA and D-League teams. In 2005, he signed with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, and in 2006, the Los Angeles D-Fenders drafted him in the NBA D-League Draft.

"After the game last night, we needed to make some changes. We only had 4 assists from our point guards which does not cut the mustard, so we wanted to bring in a guy who will spread the ball around more. Hopefully, Andre will play well in the next couple of games, and we will continue to make adjustments as needed to put together a championship team," said Head Coach Chris Daleo.

The Skyrockets next home game is on Thursday night against the Butte Daredevils. This will be the first meeting between the two CBA expansion teams. The Skyrockets go in with a 4-3 record. The Butte Daredevils are currently 2-1, play tonight in Butte, and will arrive in town tomorrow.

To purchase tickets to the Skyrockets home games, fans can call 839-SLAM or visit the Skyrockets office in the lower level of the Minot Municipal Auditorium.
