SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Sioux Falls Skyforce outscored the Dakota Wizards 14-9 in the extra session on Friday night to come away with a 133-128 victory at the Sioux Fall Arena. Four Skyforce players scored 25+ points as they improved to 8-1 at home on the season.
After a hot shooting first half by both teams, Dakota went into the break with a 68-66 lead. Dakota shot 59.0 percent from the field (23-of-39) while Sioux Falls shot 60.5 percent (26-of-43).
The Skyforce led by as many as seven points (90-83) in the third quarter but the Wizards fought back and led 112-107 following a put-back dunk by Marcus Dove with just over three minutes to go in the final stanza. After the teams traded baskets, Keith Brumbaugh sent the crowd into a frenzy as he converted a four-point play to tie the game at 114 with two minutes remaining in regulation. The Skyforce failed to score on the final possession of regulation and the game headed into overtime.
Leemire Goldwire knocked down a jump shot to give Sioux Falls a 130-128 lead with 32.1 seconds to go in overtime. The Skyforce came up with a big stop on the defensive end and made 3-of-4 free throws down the stretch to win their sixth straight home game.
Williams scored a game-high 34 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Raymond Sykes added a season-high 28 points including 10-of-11 free throws. Goldwire recorded season highs in points (26) and assists (8) off the bench and Brumbaugh added 25 points.
Romel Beck led the Wizards in scoring with 25 points. Connor Atchley scored a season-high 23 points while Cheyne Gadson chipped in with 18 points off the bench.
