Skyforce Match NBADL Season-High Six Consecutive Wins
December 9, 2015 - NBA G League (G League)
Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release
The Sioux Falls Skyforce have officially found their groove after dropping the first two games of the season, en route to six consecutive victories and tying the Westchester Knicks for the longest with streak in the NBA Development League this season. The Skyforce improved to 4-1 at home after sweeping a back-to-back series with the Delaware 87ers.
The Skyforce defense fueled their offense this past weekend, forcing a combined 49 turnovers and limiting the 87ers dynamic duo of Sean Kilpatrick, the previous week's D-League Performer of the Week, and Jordan McRae to just 5-of-18 (28 percent) shooting from three-point range. The Delaware tandem entered the weekend shooting 45 percent (38-of-84) from downtown. Sioux Falls' defense is currently ranked first in opponent's points per game, limiting teams to just 92.1 points per game.
On Assignment
The Miami HEAT re-assigned forward/center Jarnell Stokes to the Skyforce this past Thursday and he continues to impress. He is currently averaging 19.2 points and is ranked fourth in the D-League with a 67.2 field goal percentage. He has led the Skyforce in scoring and rebounding in three of his five games played and Sioux Falls is a perfect 5-0 with him in uniform.
