COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Colorado Springs Sky Sox have released their 2009 regular season schedule and are working hard to make the '09 season one of the best ever. All the exciting action on the field will be matched off the field by another year of exciting promotions.

The 2009 season will feature many popular and exciting promotional nights and will be anchored by 10 fantastic fireworks shows, including the spectacular show on July 3rd. Also returning for 2009 will be 50¢ hot dogs on 12 Sundays, ten $2.00 Tuesdays, and "Thursday Night Live" on all Thursdays. New additions to the promotional calendar this season include "Kids Eat Free" Mondays, where all kids 12 and under eat free at the ballpark with a paid ticket, and the Sky Sox new "Mug Club" that fans can join and enjoy every Thursday night. Combine all these special events with the addition of several nights of fantastic national entertainers, like The ZOOperstars, BirdZerk!, and Rally, and fun giveaways like Kid's Replica Jersey, Fielder's Glove and Team Cap throughout the season and Sky Sox baseball continues to be the best and most affordable family entertainment in the Front Range region.

The Sky Sox baseball season kicks off with an eight-game home stand against the Las Vegas 51s (Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) and the newest team in the PCL the Reno Aces (Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks) from April 9th through the 16th before the team heads on the road.

The Rockies farm system continues to be one of the best in all of baseball and several top prospects could see time in Colorado Springs during the 2009 season, including infielders Joe Koshansky and Eric Young Jr., outfielders Carlos Gonzalez and Dexter Fowler and pitchers Greg Reynolds, Franklin Morales and Brandon Hynick.
