Sky Blue Sign Midfielder Nicole Baxter as National Team Replacement Player

Howell, N.J. - Sky Blue FC signs midfielder Nicole Baxter as a National Team Replacement player, the club announced today.

A New Jersey local, Baxter joins Sky Blue after playing for Asarum IF in the Elitettan division of Sweden this past year, starting in all 10 games. In 2018 Baxter played for Telge United FF of the first division in Sweden, playing in 22 games, starting in 21, scoring three goals and notching six assists.

In 2016 and 2018, Baxter has been on the Sky Blue FC preseason roster, playing in a total of three preseason matches.

A 2015 graduate of The College of William and Mary, Baxter was a key member of the soccer team. She played in a total 77 games, scoring 8 goals and notching 19 assists. She was the team captain and earned NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team, All-CAA First Team, and First-Team All-VaSID honors in her senior season.

Additionally, Sabrina Flores has been released from her National Team Replacement contract and will soon be announcing a signing with a club overseas.

Sky Blue will be away at Orlando on Saturday, July 20, at Exploria Stadium, against Orlando Pride at 7:30 p.m. ET. A few days later, Sky Blue will return home for the club's World Cup Return Night to face the Washington Spirit on Wednesday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Yurcak Field.
