Port Huron, MI - Dustin Skinner found twine twice tonight in the game against Dayton. His 2nd goal of the game came with 5 seconds left to go in the third period his goal gives the Prowlers their 6th win in a row and their 10th in a row against the Demolition as they sweep the weekend series with Dayton winning this one 4-3.
First period was all Dayton as they threw 18 shots at the net to the Prowlers 10. The only tally would be Cody Milligan netting a goal on the power play from Harry Mahesh and Michael Lipari with 5 minutes left to go in the first. Then as the puck was about to drop with 20 seconds left to go in the first Julian Fraser his team needed a lift so him and Michael Lipari decided it would be a good time to drop the gloves. Fraser's fight would be the boost his team needed to go into the 2nd period down 1-0.
2nd period was all Prowlers as the would score three unanswered goals Scott Witmyer would again be the first Prowler skater to put his team on the board to tie the game at one a piece, 41 seconds into the 2nd period, but Port Huron didn't stop there. Goals from Justin Alonzo on the power play and Dustin Skinner would give the Prowlers a two goal lead going into the final frame Ahmed Mahfouz would register two assists in the 2nd period.
The Demolition found their legs in the third period as the evaporated a 2 goal deficit with goals from Jacques Lamoureux and Harry Mahesh a minute and a half apart from eachother to tie the game at three. But in the closing seconds of the third period Dustin Skinner would get the game winning goal with 4.8 seconds left on the clock to seal the victory for Port Huron. Andy Dicristofaro would make 32 saves on 35 shots and Brent Troyan a much better performance in goal as he would make 41 saves on 45 Prowler shot attempts but it comes in a losing effort once again as the Demolition have now lost 7 in a row without gaining a single point in the standings since Dec 18th.
