Sugar Land Space Cowboys News Release
Sugar Land, TEXAS - The Sugar Land Skeeters announced reservations for concession stand fundraising and non-profit group tickets, two programs which provide exclusive benefits to non-profits, that will be available on Monday, Feb. 20. "As these organizations provide services to those in need we have launched these programs to aid their efforts," said Matt O'Brien, President of the Skeeters. "These unique and exciting opportunities for your non-profit organization allow you to enjoy a game with reduced group tickets or to raise funds by operating a concession stand at Constellation Field, home of the Sugar Land Skeeters."
With the underwriting of the Skeeters Founding Partners, each season up to 14,000 tickets will be available to non-profit organizations for 50% off the group outing price. Reservations for the approximate 200 tickets per game are based on avail- ability and only available to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations. Organizations may use the tickets simply as a reduced price ticket or to resell the tickets for fundraising purposes.
During the season, the Skeeters staff many of their concession stands with non-profit organizations as a means of raising funds for their activities. It serves as an alternative to traditional fundraising, while developing teamwork and camaraderie in an exciting atmosphere. Working together, the Skeeters and non-profit organizations can provide excellent customer service as well as food and beverage to fans while they are visiting Constellation Field. In exchange for hard work, the organization will be paid a commission rate of net revenue for the locations that they worked.
The organization may pick any available home Skeeters game to schedule a group event at the ballpark and to promote your organization. All participating non-profit groups whether in the seats or in the concession stands will receive listing in the game program, a special public address announcement and the organization's name on the giant Texas video board.
