
Skeeters Shutout 5-0 In Second Game Of Three Game Set

SUGAR LAND, TEXAS - The Sugar Land Skeeters were shutout Tuesday night in a 5-0 loss to the New Britain Bees. The loss brings the Skeeters to 1-1 in the second half and 36-36 on the season. Cole Johnson earned his 7th win of the season, going six innings, giving up no runs on four hits with three strikeouts. Jake Hale was pegged with his 2nd loss after going 7 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts.
The Bees took 1-0 lead in the 4th after Craig Maddox' single drove home James Skelton. The Bees extended their lead to 4-0 with a three-run 8th that was started by Michale Crouse' single that would score Greg Golson. Steve Carrillo followed with an RBI single of his own that would score Michael Crouse. Craig Maddox capped off the inning with a single that would score Jonathan Roof. Michael Crouse tacked on another run in the 9th that would score Jonathan Roof and extend the Bees lead to 5-0.
