TEAM NEWS: With a record of 8-0-0-2 in their last 10, the Bruins have their longest point streak since 2017-18 where they also went ten games with at least one standings point. During this most recent run, the Bruins have won their last six consecutive games.
The Bruins also announced another commitment last week.
Commitment - Connor Mylymok, F, University of Alaska Fairbanks - Connor Mylymok is a second year Bruin who, through the first of the season, has already bested his point totals from a season ago. The 19 year-old has thirteen points in seventeen games for the Bruins, more than doubling his 6 points in 54 games which he registered last season.
LAST GAMES REVIEW: It was a three-game sweep for the Austin Bruins as they bashed the Blizzard in three consecutive nights. On Thursday, the Bruins walked away with a 5-1 win on the road. Friday night was a little bit closer with the Bruins getting the edge, 3-2, at Riverside Arena, followed by Saturday night's goal-heavy 7-5 victory in St. Cloud. Dante Sheriff lead all Bruins in scoring on the weekend with three goals and six assists, while Tiernan Shoudy had himself a Saturday night with a pair of goals and three helpers.
UPCOMING GAME PREVIEW: Thanks to the recent surge, the Bruins have jumped up to second place in the NAHL Central Division. With that in mind, the Bruins schedule this weekend has the Minot Minotauors coming to town.
Minot, currently a playoff team in 4th place in the NAHL Central Division, leads the season series over the Bruins, 2-1-0-1. It will be a tough test for the Bruins but the momentum is moving in the right direction for a huge push.
