Colorado Mammoth News Release

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth signed six players to one-year contracts on Wednesday. University of Delaware graduate Adam Zuder-Havens, Team England and former Middlebury College captain David Leach, and Butler University defenseman Steve Forsythe will join the Mammoth camp, as well as Calgary native Kyle McAlister, Denver's Kevin Tait, and Edmonton native Graedon Cornfield, the younger brother of Mammoth forward Jordan Cornfield.

Zuder-Havens led Delaware in goals (35) and points (46) in 2007 and finished second on the team in assists (11). A 6-foot, 200-pound left handed forward from Corning, N.Y., Zuder-Havens led Delaware to its first NCAA Final Four appearance last season. He joins the Mammoth as an undrafted free agent.

Cornfield also joins the Mammoth as an undrafted free agent. The 21-year-old, 6-foot-2, 201-pound lefty forward scored nine goals in Junior A this summer for New Westminster (British Columbia), and added another six in the Minto Cup playoffs.

McAlister joins the Mammoth from Junior A Calgary as an undrafted free agent. The 21-year-old transition player weighs in at 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds.

"McAlister has great size, speed and is a gritty, tough type of player," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said.

Leach, a 2005 graduate of Middlebury College, scored 21 goals in his senior year. The international star raised the eyebrows of scouts at the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships when he scored 12 goals for Team England.

Forsythe, a native of Dublin, Ohio, served as team captain and earned first-team All-Great Western Lacrosse League in his junior and senior seasons at Butler University. "This 6-foot-4 right hander is a good, big athlete and traveled to British Columbia to learn the box lacrosse game," Govett said.

Tait, a native of Eastpoint, Mich., averaged 2.64 goals per game throughout his career at Wheeling Jesuit University. The 26-year-old, 6-foot-1, 205-pound right handed transition player currently resides in Denver.
