Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
The Waterloo Black Hawks soared on both ends of the ice Friday, shutting out the Sioux City Musketeers 6-0.
Matt DiGirolamo made 35 saves for his third shutout of the season. His effort helped the Hawks get through nine opposing powerplays.
Josh Turnbull scored two goals, including the first of the game at the end of the opening period after he pulled a puck out of the corner and skated through the slot to shoot. Mitch Ryan, Kyle Reeds, James Marcou, and Brett Olson also found the net. Matt Arhontas led Waterloo with three assists.
On Saturday, the Black Hawks will skate on the home ice at Young Arena against the Chicago Steel in a game that begins at 7:05.
