Sioux Falls Remains at Top of IFL Coaches Poll for Fifth Consecutive Week

Richmond, VA.- The Sioux Falls Storm, for a fifth consecutive week, retain the top spot in the Week 7 IFL Coaches .

The Storm retained their perch atop the rankings after they defeated the Chicago Slaughter by 28 points, 73-45.Sioux Falls will take their dynamic offense on the road to Allen,TX in week 8 to take on the Allen Wranglers in what is arguably the biggest matchup of the season, thus far.

Despite needing to kick a field goal with no time remaining to keep their undefeated season alive in Week 7, the Tri-Cities Fever retains a firm grasp on second place in the Coaches poll. The Fever who had their closest game of the year against the New Mexico Stars escaped the Santa Ana Star Center with a 65-62 victory. The Fever will host the Everett Raptors on Friday, April 13 at 7:05 p.m. PST.

The 5-1 Allen Wranglers maintain their position at third. After a bye in Week 7 the Wranglers must now figure out a way to slow down the powerful offensive attack of the undefeated Sioux Falls Storm. Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, April 14 at 7:05 p.m. CT.

There is no change this week in the rest of the top six as Bloomington, Green Bay and Colorado retain their positions from the previous week. After a bye in Week 7 the Edge prepare to play the winless Reading Express. Green Bay defeated Cedar Rapids for a second time this season, 59-46, and must now prepare to play the Chicago Slaughter. Colorado prepares to play the New Mexico Stars in Week 8.

The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks move up two spots this week from ninth to seventh. The 3-3 Steelhawks defeated the Reading Express 62-41 in Week 7 thanks to the help of Offensive Player of the Week Irani DeAraujo, who caught five touchdowns in the game. The Steelhawks face the eighth ranked Cedar Rapids Titans in Week 8.

The Omaha Beef slip down into a tie with the Cedar Rapids Titans in the eighth spot. The Beef lost to the Wichita Wild 49-47, after they could not convert a two-point conversion at the end of regulation in Week 7. The Beef will travel to Wyoming to take on the Cavalry on Friday, April 13 at 7:05 MT.

Moving in the top ten this week are the Everett Raptors. Everett who knocked off the Nebraska Danger 52-35 last week will face the Tri-Cities Fever for the second time this season in Week 8.

Nebraska drops out of the top ten.
