
Sinopoli Wins Most Outstanding Canadian at Shaw CFL Awards

OTTAWA-GATINEAU - Ottawa REDBLACKS receiver Brad Sinopoli was named Most Outstanding Canadian at the Shaw CFL Awards at the Winspear Centre in Edmonton on Thursday night.
Sinopoli, who is looking for his third Grey Cup championship and second with Ottawa, not only had a great season this year but one of the best season's ever by a Canadian.
The Peterborough native set an all-time CFL record with a 116 receptions by a Canadian, along with 1,376 yards and four touchdowns. Sinopoli also had a league-best 486 yards after catch. He now has four-straight seasons with at least 1,000 yards, all as a member of the REDBLACKS.
Thursday was the second time the 30-year-old has been named the CFL's top Canadian. He also won the award following his first season in Ottawa in 2015.
Sinopoli and the REDBLACKS will take on the Calgary Stamepders in the 106th Grey Cup on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Commonwealth Stadium.
