
Single-Game Tickets on sale Saturday

SALEM, VA - The Salem Avalanche, Class-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, are placing single-game tickets on sale Saturday, March 24 at 10AM at Lewis-Gale Medical Center Field at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. Fans will also be able to purchase tickets over the phone and via the internet.
"When single-game tickets go on sale, you know Opening Day is right around the corner," said Jeanne Boester, Avalanche Director of Ticketing. "We have been working hard this off-season to make the 2007 season the greatest in the history of professional baseball in the Roanoke Valley."
Single-game tickets are available at the ticket office, located within the Salem Avalanche administrative offices adjacent to the ballpark. Fans wishing to purchase tickets by phone can call 540-389-3333 and place their orders using Visa, Mastercard and American Express; fans wishing to surf the web for tickets should visit the team website at www.salemavalanche.com and click the "Pick and Print" ticketing icon.
For the third-consecutive year, there are no regular price increases at Salem Avalanche games. Box Seats are $8.00, Reserved Seats are $7.00 and General Admission is still just $6.00 per ticket. Seniors (60+) and Youths (12-and-under) receive $1.00 off Box and Reserved Seats. There is no Senior or Youth discount for General Admission. Children ages two and under that will sit in a parent or guardian's lap will not require an admission ticket.
The Avalanche will be hosting two Church Nights this season. The first is on June 23 and features the hot Christian rock band 33 Miles, while the second is on July 28, 2007 and features another great Christian rock band -- Echoing Angels. Admission prices for Church Night are $2.00 per ticket higher than standard game prices, and include a pre-game concert by local bands the Downing Brothers (6/23) and TK VI II I (7/28) presented by Miller Lite as part of the Saturday Night Live with the Avalanche Concert Series, and a post-game Christian music concerts, presented by Young and Associates.

The Avalanche open the 2007 season versus the Frederick Keys on Thursday, April 5th at 7:07PM. Opening Night is also a world-famous Avalanche Friends and Family Night, presented by Bud Light and WROV. The first 1,000 fans will receive a magnet schedule, compliments of Williams Lighting Galleries, and Post-Game Fireworks are presented by nTelos and One-Stop Cellular.

Fan Fest 2007 will be held on Saturday, March 31 from 10AM - 2PM. Admission is free, and all fans will receive a free Valleydale hot dog, a bag of delicious Utz chips and an ice cold Pepsi. There will be face painters and clowns for the kids, as well as an opportunity to try out all the new interactive inflatables in the Avalanche Fun Zone for kids of all ages.
