Jacksonville Barracudas News Release
The Jacksonville Barracudas have announced that Captain Jason Simon has been suspended for two games by the SPHL. In last Friday's game against the Columbus Cottonmouths Simon was given a Match penalty and ejected for a two-handed slash against a Cottonmouth player. He will be eligible to return to action Saturday, February 4th for the game against the Fayetteville FireAntz.
The Barracudas have placed forward Chad Peck on the team suspended list. He has left the team for personal reasons Tuesday, and it is unclear if he will return for the remainder of the season.
Through 22 games with the Barracudas this season, Peck recorded 8 goals and 6 assists, and was a -25. He also picked up 14 penalty minutes.
The Barracudas are on the road until Tuesday, February 7th, which will be Credit Union Night, as they take on the Columbus Cottonmouths at home. All games are played at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, and start at 7:05pm. Please contact the Barracudas office at 367-1423 for more details, or purchase tickets at www.ticketmaster.com, or at the Arena box office.
