Dayton Silverbacks News Release
(TROY,OH)-Don't miss the Silverbacks' game this Saturday when they take on the Canton Legends at Hobart Arena. Kick-off is 7pm. The Silverbacks will honor military and government employees. Anyone with a military or government id will receive $2 off the ticket price.
This game is very important to the Silverbacks for more than one reason. The Legends are coached by Bobby Olive, a former Ohio State Buckeye and good friend and former teammate of Silverback Bobby Britton. Two other Legends are also former teammates of Britton and Maurice Lee.
"We had a few glitches last week during the home opener, including the loss," explained Silverbacks' Head Coach, Matt King. "We sat down earlier this week to discuss how to improve things and I think we've got most of the kinks worked out. And, we'll be bringing in some new players to continue to build our talent."
The Silverbacks, now 2-2, need to win this game in order to stay in playoff contention. Last week, quarterback Matt Glacken left the game with a shoulder injury. Kerrick Cooper will lead the offense against the Legends.
"This weekend it's personal," said Britton.
The Silverbacks play at Hobart Arena in Troy. Ticket prices start at $10. To purchase tickets, call the Hobart Arena box office at 937.339.2911.
