Silverbacks headed for second consecutive sellout
June 8, 2006 - USL First Division (USL-1)
Atlanta Silverbacks News Release
The Atlanta Silverbacks Men played last weekend in front of a standing-room only crowd of 3,217. With just over 500 tickets remaining, this weekend is shaping up to be another sell-out weekend for the Silverbacks. The Silverbacks, 1-3-2, will face the defending USL Champions, the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, June 10 at 7:30 pm.
After last week's 3-2 win over long-time rivals the Charleston Battery, two Silverbacks were named to the USL Team of the Week. Jason McLaughlin received the honors after scoring a goal and getting an assist; Matt Bobo received the honors after scoring the Silverbacks' first goal in RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium. The Silverbacks tied the Sounders last season in Seattle and lost to them in Atlanta.
Due to the high demand for tickets, there will be no phone sales after noon on Friday. Tickets will be on sale through online "print-at-home" and at the stadium box office starting at 5:00 pm on Friday. Get your tickets early and reserve your seat for this Saturday's game. Parking opens at 5:30 pm and the stadium gates open at 6:00 pm. For more information call 1-866-GO-BACKS or visit www.atlantasilverbacks.com.
