Buffalo Silverbacks News Release

Buffalo, NY. The ABA Buffalo Silverbacks received a letter from Juanita L. Anderson, Asst. Youth Services Coordinator and Tony D. Williams, Director of Operations of the Northwest Buffalo Community Center relating to their "Do Your Best, Never Quit" Seminar.

"Recently, members of the Buffalo Silverbacks professional basketball team came to the Northwest Buffalo Community Center, Inc. to put on a basketball clinic and do a presentation on character and self esteem for the children ages 6-13 yrs. old who participate in our after school program. The way the players interacted with the youth was amazing. They actively engaged all the children in both the clinic and the discussions, as well as the staff who was in attendance. The discussions on self awareness and feeling good about who they are, really touch some of the youth and this was evident by the youth wanting the players to come back to their program for another visit.

On behalf of the Youth Department staff of the Northwest Buffalo Community Center, Inc. and its administration, I strongly recommend the Buffalo Silverbacks Professional Basketball Team and its players in their community endeavors working with the youth of Buffalo and Eric County."

The Buffalo Silverbacks and companies such as Creditors Interchange should be commended for supporting initiatives like this that seek to better the WNY community.
