Silverbacks announce home schedule

(TROY,OH)- The Miami Valley Silverbacks have announced their 2007 home schedule. The team will play six regular season home games next season. No team match-ups have been announced yet. The Silverbacks will hold their home opener on Friday, March 30. Kick-off will be at 7pm. The Silverbacks regular season in the Great Lakes Indoor Football League will run from late March through the end of June.
Team executives opted to play on Friday and Saturday nights next season in order to accommodate community events. The Silverbacks have tentative theme nights planned for each home game. The six-game home schedule with tentative themes is:
Friday, March 30 Family Night
Saturday, April 14 Tax Relief Night
Saturday, April 21 Public Safety Night
Friday, May 4 Varsity Night
Friday, May 11 Ladies Night
Friday, May 18 Armed Forces Night
"We have a lot of great theme nights planned for next season," commented Sue Keeton, Director of PR & Broadcasting. "We had great success last season with Ladies Night and look forward to hosting a lot of fun events for our fans next year."
The Silverbacks are part of a four-team Ohio division that includes Marion, Wayne County and Steubenville. The proximity of these teams will allow fans the chance to follow the team on the road. Michigan will host a four-team division with teams in Port Huron, Battle Creek, Muskegon and the Motor City. Additional teams are in Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
