For the seventh consecutive year, the Syracuse Silver Knights will compete at the highest level of professional indoor soccer when the club kicks off its 2017-2018 season in California against the Turlock Express on Friday, Nov. 3 at 4:05 p.m. EDT. Syracuse stays out west to face the San Diego Sockers on Nov. 5 prior to returning to Central New York for its home opener against the Ontario Fury on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7:05 p.m. in the friendly confines of the Oncenter War Memorial Arena.
"I know Coach Ryan Hall and our players cannot wait to start their quest to bring a Major Arena Soccer League championship to Syracuse," Club President Tommy Tanner said. "To open our season on the road against the Express and a legendary club like the Sockers is a daunting task, but I'm sure the Silver Knights will be ready for the challenge. We are excited to be flying to the West Coast for the first time in club history."
The Silver Knights schedule includes two additional games this year, as the MASL now features a 22-game regular season for all of its clubs.
"It is important to the league and club to give indoor soccer fans the best value and product possible, and I'm very pleased to keep Syracuse Silver Knights games fun and affordable for the whole family throughout the 2017-18 season," Tanner added.

Each of the 16 teams in the Major Arena Soccer League will play twenty-two games this season, eleven at home and eleven on the road. The 2017-2018 schedule is the most balanced schedule to date for the MASL.
Each team will play 12 games within there division.
The MASL's playoff format will feature the top two teams in each division in a Division Playoff.
The Division Playoff will be a two game, home and home series. Game 3 (mini-game) if necessary following Game 2.
The Conference Championship will be one game hosted by the team with best regular season record.
For the first time, the MASL Championship will also be a one game playoff hosted by the team with the best regular season record.
