38 Days Until Opening Day

The South Bend Silver Hawks open the 2004 regular season on Thursday April 8th when they take on the Fort Wayne Wizards at Coveleski Regional Stadium at 6:30pm. With the recent break in the weather, the Silver Hawks staff has been busy preparing for the upcoming season. The Cove will have a different look this season, as all new box seats were installed over the winter. The Silver Hawks will have more exciting announcements in the near future so stay tuned!

Hawks Announce National Anthem Tryouts

The South Bend Silver Hawks professional baseball team is looking for individuals or groups who are interested in singing the Star Spangled Banner prior to one of their 2004 home games. The club will hold auditions on Saturday, March 6th and again on Saturday, March 13th from 10am until 2pm both days. Auditions will take place at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium, home of the Silver Hawks. Those interested in auditioning must register prior to their audition date. Please note that walk-ups will not be allowed. Interested individuals or groups can reserve an audition by contacting Brandy Beehler, Silver Hawks Office Manager at 574.235.9988 during business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 5:30pm.

Nippert, Rosario Named to Top 10 Prospects

Dustin Nippert and Adriano Rosario, both members of the Silver Hawks 2003 pitching staff were named to the Arizona Diamondbacks top-10 prospect list by Baseball America. Nippert is listed as the number 3 prospect while Rosario comes in at number 5. While with the Silver Hawks in 2003, Nippert compiled a 6-4 record with an ERA of 2.82 in 17 starts. Meanwhile Rosario was 9-5 with a 2.86 ERA in 27 starts. Both are projected to begin the 2004 season with the Double-A El Paso Diablos. Other former Silver Hawks that made the list include the number 1 overall prospect Scott Hairston along with Chad Tracy, Conor Jackson, Brian Bruney and Edgar Gonzalez.

The Upper Deck is Coveleski Stadium's luxury skybox, offering a combination of indoor dinner and stadium seating, satellite television, exclusive restrooms, climate control and private beverage service. The Upper Deck can accommodate groups up to 450 people for a dinner buffet when combined with some outdoor stadium seating. Rental charges for any Silver Hawks game is $1,500.00 and includes 100 game tickets. Additional tickets are available for $10.00 each.

The Upper Deck Tent Party allows for an exclusive outdoor opportunity to view the game from the 1st base side of the stadium, offering private dinner and beverage service. Our tent parties can accommodate groups of any size for your dining and entertainment pleasure. Rental charges for any Silver Hawks game is based upon the size of your group and includes tent, table and chair rental: Groups of 50-75: $550.00 Groups of 76-150: $750.00 Groups greater than 150 people should call for additional quotes

Silver Hawks Seek Summer Help

The South Bend Silver Hawks professional baseball team is looking for energetic individuals to work part-time at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium this summer. The Silver Hawks work with schedule conflicts and have flexible hours with competitive pay rates. Those interested in a position are required to fill out an application. Applications are available at Coveleski Stadium during business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 5:30pm. The team currently has a need in the following areas:
Picnic Garden Attendant
Picnic Garden Manager
Cashier
Runner
Food Preparer / Cook
Fun Zone Attendant
Merchandise Sales Attendant
