San Diego Siege News Release

FT. COLLINS, CO - The San Diego Siege repeated history Tuesday night, besting the Colorado Chill for the second time this season - and only the second time in the Chill's three-year history.

Riding a balanced scoring attack, the Siege dominated early and built a 16 point lead on the 2005 NWBL Champions. Siege guard Jessica Cheeks' 20 points led the way. Center Tera Bjorklund scored 18, guard Tynesha Lewis 17 and forward Cathrine Kraayeveld went for 16.

Colorado's all-world guard Becky Hammon scored a game-high 30 points and the team's newest addition, WNBA forward Adrian Williams had 11 points and 14 rebounds.

The Siege are the only team to beat Colorado on their home court in team's three year existence. They made NWBL history last Tuesday, beating the Chill for the first time in exhibition, regular or post season play 81-70. The Siege play the Chill in San Diego this Sunday, February 26th at 4 pm.

The Siege return home to prepare for their next home game, Saturday night, February 25th against the San Francisco Legacy at 7 pm at San Diego City College's brand new Harry West Gymansium. The Siege won the first matchup of the year against the Legacy 81-74, on San Francisco's home court.
