San Diego Siege News Release

The Siege winning streak continues, as they rolled past San Francisco 84-55. Cathrine Kraayeveld led the Siege in points with 24, Tera Bjorklund and Natalie Nakase finished next with 12.

The undersized Legacy were pushed around by Kraayeveld and Bjorklund in the first frame, who combined for 16 points in the quarter. San Diego jumped out to an early lead, 29-12 after one.

In the second quarter every member of the Siege found playing time, and extended the lead 46-24 at the half. Eight players scored in the first half, Kraayeveld led with 12 points and six rebounds.

The Siege lacked energy in the third quarter, and the Legacy were quickest to the ball. Erica Glover and Toni Russell fueled a 12-0 run to end the third quarter. The score after three was 62-46.

The Siege took charge in the fourth, scoring the first 11 points. The Legacy starters were winded; they only had one bench player suited up and three players played the full 40 minutes.
