
Siege signs third WNBA player

San Diego Siege News Release
The San Diego Siege announced the signing of their third WNBA player Wednesday, adding New York Liberty forward Cathrine Kraayeveld to their growing roster.
Kraayeveld, a 6'4" forward from the University of Oregon was the first pick of the third round and 27th overall in the 2005 WNBA draft. She posted career highs this past August by scoring 14 points, including 4-7 shooting from three-point range, as well as field goals made and attempted, three pointers made and attempted and minutes played against the WNBA's Connecticut Sun.
While at Oregon, Kraayeveld earned All-Pac 10 honors in 2005, Honorable Mention All-Pac 10 in 2002 and 2003, Women's National Invitational Tournament Most Valuable Player in 2002 and Pac 10 All-Academic Second Team in 2003.
Kraayeveld will be reunited with her New York Liberty point guard, the Siege's own Loree Moore. Moore, herself a 2005 WNBA draft pick, signed with San Diego last week.
The San Diego Siege open home play Saturday, February 18 at 7 pm at San Diego City College's brand new Harry West Gymnasium. Tickets are available online at www.nwbl.com and at the ticket window Opening Night.
