Sidewinders Return Home To Host Nashville And Memphis

Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Sidewinders will host the Nashville Sounds and the Memphis Redbirds for the first time since 2006 in an 8-game homestand beginning Tuesday, May 6th at Tucson Electric Park. The team will take on the Triple-A affiliates of the Milwaukee Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals during a homestand that features Thirsty Thursday, Fireworks Friday and Diamond Pendant Giveaway night.

The homestand will kickoff with $2 Tuesday with coupons available at local Quik Mart locations. Fireworks Spectacular will light up the skies after the 6:30 p.m. game on Friday, May 9th. On Saturday, May 10th fans 18 and older can register to win one of nine diamond pendants to be given away at the culmination of all nine innings.

Tucson has won seven of their last ten games and took five of eight during their recent roadtrip to Round Rock and Albuquerque. First Baseman Josh Whitesell homered in three straight contests from May 2nd-5th while Right-hander Billy Buckner took a no hitter into the 8th inning in the Sidewinders 11-2 victory over the Isotopes on May 4th.
