Sidekicks get rights to Beau Brown in 3-way trade

DALLAS, Texas – The Dallas Sidekicks acquired the rights to forward Beau Brown in a three-way trade with Harrisburg and Cleveland.

Brown, 27, has finished as one of the World Indoor Soccer League's top-ten scorer's each of the last three seasons with the Utah Freezz. He was tenth in 1999 with 21 goals and 16 assists for 37 points, eight in 2000 with 26 goals and 15 assists for 41 points, and tenth in 2001 with 8 goals and 19 assists for 27 points.

Brown, a native of Wylie, Texas, played college soccer at West Texas A&M and for the Sidekicks in 1997 and 1998. He spent the 1999-2001 seasons with the Utah Freezz of the World Indoor Soccer League. He was drafted first overall by Cleveland in the Major Indoor Soccer League dispersal draft following Utah and Sacramento's announcements not to join the MISL. Brown was part of the Sidekicks 1998 WISL championship team.
