
Sidekicks Fall 18-14 at Harrisburg

Harrisburg, PA - The Dallas Sidekicks lost to the Harrisburg Heat 18-14 Saturday night at the Pennsalvainina Farm Show Arena in front of 4,116 fans.
Harrisburg (3-2) drew first in the opening period, taking advantage of an intentional hanball penalty on Sidekicks (2-5) goalkeeper Sagu at 6:24. David Bascome scored his seventh goal of the season, and 4th on the powerplay, on a pass from Ato Leone. Antonio Sutton answered at 12:40 with his sixth goal of the season, but Harrisburg's Horatcio Robleto turned up the Heat with his second goal of the season at 14:48, giving the home side a 4-2 lead after one period.
Tatu answered almost immediately with his sixth goal of the season, assisted by David Doyle (second of the game, and third of the season) at :59 of the second quarter. Ato Leone caught Sagu out of the goal arc at 7:28 of period, scoring an easy three-point goal. Harrisburg was awarded a shootout late in the period, on an Eric Dade collision with the Heat's David Bascome. Antonio Sutton stole the ball from Bascome as the shootout began. Genoni Martinez's powerplay goal at 14:40, that ended the scoring in the half.
Former Sidekick Marco Coria added to the Harrisburg lead at 8:10 of the third period. David Doyle's three-point goal cut the Heat lead to 11-7. Ato Leone caught Sagu out of his arc for the second time in the match, giving the Heat their largest lead of the game, 13-7. Antonio Sutton answered with his seventh goal of the 2002-03 campaign at 14:47, ending the 3rd period scoring.
Scoring his first goal as a Sidekick, Danny Barber cut the Dallas deficit to 13-9 at :40 seconds of the final frame. David Barbosa incresed the Harrisburg lead to 15-11 at 5:09 of the 4th. Leo Pernia brought Dallas to within 1 with his first three-point goal at 11:08 of the fourth quarter. An empty net goal for the Heat made the final score 18-14.
The Sidekicks have lost four games in a row, and remain winless on the road this season. The Sidekicks welcome the Kansas City Comets to Reunion Arena for the first time on Wednesday, November 6. The "Cool School Day" game begins at 10:45 A.M.
