Believers introduce new coach, GM

The Show Me Believers of the National Indoor Football League introduced new head coach and general manager Mike Wyatt Wednesday afternoon.

Wyatt, who spent the past six seasons with the Rhein Razorbacks of the German Football League, replaces former University of Missouri coach Warren Powers, who returned to coaching for the first time since 1984 to guide the Believers to a 4-10 record last season.

"We're grateful to Coach Powers for the leadership he provided, but we needed a full-time coach and general manager," explained Believers owner Ed Watkins, referring to Powers' position with Bommarito Automotive. "We're really excited to have someone like Mike Wyatt to fill the position. This is a guy who knows football and who will help us put together a winner."

Wyatt, an Oklahoma native, coached a season in Italy and two in Sweden before making the move to Germany.
