NIFL Announces 2004 Regular Season Schedule, Divisional Alignment

LAFAYETTE, LA—The National Indoor Football League has officially released today the complete 2004 regular season schedule, as well as the league's divisional alignment.

The 2004 NIFL schedule features 182 games over 17 weeks, March through July 2004. League play will kick off on Friday, March 12th as the Houma Bayou Bucks battle the Tupelo FireAnts in Mississippi. The regular season will come to a conclusion on Sunday, July 4th as the Billings Outlaws take on the Wyoming Cavalry in Casper, WY.

Six new team have also been added to the NIFL's 2004 lineup: Atlantic City CardSharks (Atlantic City, NJ), Staten Island Xtreme (Staten Island, NY), Wichita Falls Thunder (Wichita Falls, TX), Greenville RiverHawks (Greenville, NC), along with teams in Fort Collins, Colorado and Waco, Texas.

The 2004 NIFL divisional alignment will continue to feature a two-conference format in both the Atlantic and Pacific. Each conference will consist of three divisions, as follows:
