Mitchell and Parra Sign With Diesel

Kearney, Nebraska—The Tri-City Diesel is proud to announce the first two signees of the 2004 season, wide receiver, Jason Mitchell and offensive lineman, Juan Parra.

Mitchell who played for the Lincoln Capitols in 2003 is a standout at the wide receiver spot. While with the Capitols his numbers were very impressive leading the team in all receiving categories. He played in all 14 games and snagged 63 passes for 807 yards and 17 TD's. Juan Parra also played in the NIFL in 2003 with the Omaha Beef. He is an offensive/defensive lineman who played his college ball at the University of Louisiana-Monroe. While with the Beef he played offensive center.

Also the Diesel are proud to announce the addition of Dave Stricklin to the coaching staff. Stricklin will be coaching the offensive/defensive lineman. Stricklin was a three year player for the Diesel and is currently the defensive coordinator at Gibbon High School.
