Spokane Shock News Release
Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that they will host a preseason game against the Arkansas Twisters on March 18th at the Spokane Arena. The game will kick off at 7 PM. Tickets for the game will go on sale this Friday, February 6th, at 10 AM through TicketsWest.
The Twisters are led by former Spokane Shock Head Coach Chris Siegfried and Quarterback Kyle Rowley who were instrumental in bringing the ArenaCup Championship to Spokane in 2006.
Last season, the Twisters posted an 11-5 record during the regular season and reached the Divisional round of the postseason before falling to the Central Valley Coyotes. Rowley was named the 2008 Schutt Offensive Player of the Year after he completed 68% of his passes (379/557) for 4,393 yards and 89 touchdowns. He finished the year second in the af2 in touchdown passes, completion percentage and passing yards.
This will be only the third all-time meeting between the Shock and the Twisters. In their last meeting, the Shock defeated the Twisters 48-30 in the Conference Championship to advance to the 2006 ArenaCup.
"Arkansas has always put together an extremely competitive team on the field," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "We think that a game against the Twisters will help us evaluate our progression during training camp and prepare us for our season opener against Stockton."
Season tickets for the regular season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 509 242 7462 today. The Shock will kick off on April 3rd at the Spokane Arena on Spokane Tribe Field.
