SPOKANE, Washington (June 11, 2015) - The Spokane Shock have issued a statement in regard to the alleged incident that occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada on the weekend of May 23, 2015.
"We are extremely disappointed by the alleged incident that was recently brought to our attention involving two of our players in Las Vegas, Nevada during the weekend of May 23, 2015," said Shock Director of Operations Ryan Eucker. "We have been cooperating with AFL staff and the Las Vegas Metro Police Department in the ongoing investigation. Given recent developments in the case, we are taking strong and necessary actions to address these issues with those allegedly involved, as well as, develop internal measures to prevent this type of incident from occurring in the future."
"We are closely monitoring the proceedings as the appropriate parties investigate the matters. While the investigation is ongoing, we have suspended the individuals alleged to be involved from all football and organizational related activities until further information is presented," said Eucker. "The Shock believes that it is our civic duty and responsibility to our fans to hold all those involved in our organization, both on and off the field, to the highest standards of conduct."
