
Shock Forward Glory Johnson Named to the 2014 Western Conference All-Star Team

TULSA, Okla. - Shock forward Glory Johnson has been named a reserve on the Boost Mobile WNBA All-Star 2014 team. This will be Johnson's second straight appearance as an All-Star.
Johnson is averaging 14.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 32.5 minutes per game, and is shooting 45.6 percent from the field in 21 games played this season. Johnson has scored in double figures in 17 out of 21 games this season, including earning ten double-doubles.
"I have been blessed to have an injury free season and I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunity to play on All-Star team again," said Glory Johnson, Tulsa Shock forward. "I'm excited to represent the Tulsa Shock and city of Tulsa in Phoenix."
The 6'3" forward ranks fourth in the league in rebounds per game. In 2013, Johnson led the Shock, averaging 15.0 points per game and grabbing 8.9 rebounds per game. Johnson was named a WNBA All-Star and to the WNBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2013. As a rookie in 2012, Johnson averaged 11.5 points per game, 6.8 rebounds per game and 2.2 steals per game. Johnson was drafted fourth overall in the 2012 WNBA Draft and was named to the All-Rookie Team that year.
The Boost Mobile WNBA All-Star 2014 game will take place at US Airways Center in Phoenix on Saturday, July 19, and will be televised nationally on ESPN at 2:30 p.m. CT (3:30 p.m. ET).
