Spokane Shock News Release
SPOKANE, WA (October 22, 2012) - The Shock have been assigned defensive back Patrick Stoudamire and linebacker Terence Moore to the 2013 roster. Each player has agreed to a two-year deal with Spokane for the 2013 and 2014 AFL seasons.
Stoudamire, a graduate of Western Illinois and native of Portland, OR, returned to Spokane in 2012 and played in 12 games for the Shock recording 48 solo tackles, 15 assisted tackles, and 5 interceptions. In 2011, Patrick began the season with Spokane before being traded to the Iowa Barnstormers. Prior to beginning his AFL career, Patrick spent time in training camp with the NFL's San Francisco 49er's before joining the UFL's Las Vegas Locomotives. Collegiately, Stoudamire had a decorated career at Western Illinois, being named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference first-team for three consecutive years. Patrick is a graduate of Centennial High School in Portland, OR.
"Stoudamire is solid player that can play multiple positions in the defensive backfield for us. He's gained a lot of valuable experience over his past few seasons in the AFL and we're expecting big things from him," said Shock General Manager Ryan Rigmaiden.
Moore, a graduate of Troy University in Alabama, joined Spokane for his rookie AFL season in 2012. Despite an early season injury that would place him on the Injured Reserve list for four weeks, Terence registered 32 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries and 3 interceptions at linebacker. He also carried the ball four times on the season for a gain of 5 yards and two touchdowns. In his final season at Troy, Terence was second on the team with 64 tackles (52 solo) and recorded one interception and four pass break ups. In 2006 he saw action in all 13 games as a reserve defensive back and special team player. He finished the season with 29 tackles (23 solo), two interceptions, and two pass break ups. Terence is a graduate of Shaw High School in Columbus, GA.
"Terence was probably one of the most all-around athletic guys on our roster last season. He's an intelligent football player with natural instincts that are hard to find. With a season under his belt, this could be a breakout season for him," said Head Coach Andy Olson.
