SPOKANE, WA (December 20, 2012) - The Shock have been assigned quarterback Blake Bolles to the 2013 roster.

Bolles, a product of the Northwest Missouri State Bearacts, concluded his collegiate career in 2009 and received All-American and All-Conference honors. During his senior season, Blake set new MIAA Conference single-season records for passing yards (4145), touchdown passes (42) and total offense (4258). Blake also set a new single-season record for the Bearcats in completion percentage (69.5) and a single-game record for completions (37) while tying the single-game record for touchdown passes twice (5). After participating in his Senior Pro-Day, Blake caught the attention of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers and also participated in try-outs with the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks and the CFL's Saskatchewan Rough Riders.

"Blake has been very successful in the outdoor game and has great upside potential. For a quarterback in the outdoor game to complete such a high percentage of his throws over the course of a season shows he has strong decision making abilities and can throw an accurate ball which is exactly what we're looking for," said Shock Head Coach Andy Olson.
