SPOKANE, Washington (June 3, 2015) - The Shock were assigned defensive linemen Daniel Riley and Alex Magee to their 2015 active roster today.
Riley (6-4, 260, Harding) joins the Shock for his rookie season as a member of the AFL. Riley first joined the Shock during the team's 2015 training camp before spending time with the CFL's BC Lions. During his senior season at Harding University (AR) in 2013, Riley earned First Team All-Great American conference honors after tallying 38 tackles and tens sacks.
Magee (6-3, 300, Purdue) joins the Shock for his third season in the Arena Football League. He began the 2015 regular season as a member of the Arizona Rattlers and was released from the team on May 26. In 2013 as a member of the Chicago Rush, Magee collected 6.5 tackles and two sacks in four games. During his rookie season with the Utah Blaze in 2012 he saw action in one game and recorded one tackle. Magee was selected in the third round (pick 67) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs where he spent the 2009-2010 season. He also spent time in 2010-2011 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During his collegiate career at Purdue, Magee recorded 28 tackles at defensive end during his senior season in 2008. As a junior in 2007 with the Boilermakers, he started all 13 games and collected 38 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss.
