Spokane Shock News Release

Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced the addition of four players to the 2009 roster: WR Billy Pittman (5-11, 189), WR Jason Jones (6-1, 180), DL Blair Boynton (6-3, 250) and DB Brandon Isaac (6-2 195).

Pittman starred as a Texas Longhorn from 2003-2007 collecting 80 receptions for 1,283 yards and nine touchdowns, earning All-Big 12 honors in 2006. These numbers caught the attention of the San Diego Chargers who signed Pittman to a free-agent contract in 2008 before releasing him in training camp.

Jones excelled as a receiver at Arkansas Pine Bluff, where he became just the second player in Southwestern Athletic Conference history to record more than 2,000 yards (2,197) and more than 20 touchdowns (22) in a career (Jones did it just three seasons at Arkansas Pine Bluff). After his decorated career at Arkansas Pine Bluff, Jones signed a contract with the Buffalo Bills who released him on August 21st of this year.

Boynton joins former NAU teammate Alex Watson (signed on November 7th) on the Shock roster. Boynton recorded 81 tackles - with 12.5 tackles for loss - during his career as a Lumberjack.

Isaac finished his collegiate career at the University of South Carolina, where he was a teammate of former Shock DB Tremaine Tyler. In two seasons as a Gamecock (he spent the previous two seasons at the Georgia Military Junior College), he tallied 55 tackles with one interception and eight pass break-ups. On his Pro Day, Isaac registered a 4.47 in the 40-yard dash.

"We have signed more athletic talent then we did at this time last year, especially with today's additions" Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "Pittman and Jones have great hands; Boynton can play linebacker or on the defensive line and Isaac can play multiple positions in the secondary."

The Shock roster now stands at 21 players with these latest additions. Season tickets are on sale now to the general public now and can be purchased by calling (509) 242 7462.
