Spokane Shock News Release
The Spokane Shock announced today DB Nick Denbeigh has been assigned to the team's roster.
Denbeigh, a Spokane native, was signed by the Shock last season but was released during training camp. Since that time, Denbeigh continued training and attended the Shock's open tryout in November and was the only player from the tryout to earn a roster spot.
"Nick was a tough cut last year, but in the off-season he worked hard and earned himself a spot on our training camp roster," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "He showed his abilities at the collegiate level and now he's ready to continue at the professional level."
Denbeigh, 5'11" 198, finished his senior season at Eastern Washington University in 2006 compiling 31 total tackles, one interception, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick. As a junior, he was named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team and earned an honorable mention All-Big Sky Conference, averaging six tackles per game.
