Spokane Shock News Release
Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that DL Jason Jack, 6'4 265, has been added to their 2008 roster.
Jack attended Texas A & M University, playing in 33 games and accounted for 98 tackles as an Aggie. After red-shirting in 2003, Jack earned Freshman All-American and honorable mention All Big-12 honors in 2004. That season he posted 48 tackles - 19 solos - with six tackles for a loss, including two sacks.
"This is a big signing for us," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "Jason Jack has all of the tools to be a great player and I'm just happy that he has chosen Spokane to showcase his abilities."
During his Pro-Day Workout, Jack registered a 4.9 time in the 40-yard dash while bench pressing 225 pounds 21 times. With the addition of Jack, the Shock's roster stands at 16 total players - including four returners from the 2007 Western Division Championship team.
